Stats: Mathew Hayden and Australia's record run.

Matthew Hayden is in some of the best form of his career and his 2 consecutive centuries highlight this. His world cup record 100 off 66 balls against South Africa was a show of power whereas his century against West Indies was more about timing before power. Against the West Indies he took 18 balls to get off mark before reaching his century off just 110 balls. Hayden went on to blast his way to a record score by an Australian at a World Cup going past Andrew Symonds' 143 in the last world cup. Hayden became only the second batsman to score more than 150 against West Indies.

Hayden now holds the record for:

Australia have scored 300+ runs in 6 consecutive matches which is a new record run.
